Early life of Kondleka
Busi Kondleka (born as Sibusisiwe Kondleka) is a 24 years old South African actress. She was born on 25 September 1997 in East London, South Africa. She was raised in East London but later relocated to Cape Town to pursue further education. She grew up watching TV and that was helpful in learning how the acting industry work. The now star recalled mimicking what actors do to her parents and family. It was in her preteen years that she knew that she wanted to take acting as a career. Busi is multilingual speaker, she speaks English, IsiXhosa and IsiZulu.

Kondleka attended West Bank High School where she was the head girl. After metric, having relocated to Cape Town, she enrolled for Public relations and Communications (PR) at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT). During her PR studies, Busi was accredited with a certificate in Speech and Drama CPUT Drama Society. Immediately after graduating from CPUT, she moved to Johannesburg where she pursued a career in entertainment industry.

Upon arrival in Johannesburg, Gauteng, Busi strengthen her CV by taking roles in Commercials, Music Videos and Short films. She also joined Star Quality Management Agency which assisted her in getting television acting roles. In February 2019 she landed a role of Tumi on Mzansi Magic’s Isithembiso while still holding a 9am to 5pm job at a medical company doing PR. She believes she was fortunate enough to have a boss who allowed her to go for auditions for Isithembiso.
On 25 September 2020 she received a call that she had landed a role on Generations: the Legacy. Her role was to play Melokuhle on Generations: the Legacy, a role she called a dream come true. She had a cameo role on several films such as The kissing Booth Netflix, Honey 3 Dare to Dance and Hotele Lerallabeng. She also appeared on Black Sails. Busi is not just an actor and PR professional but she is also a presenter. She presented on shows like GreenRoom Online, Night of Queens, Women Preneur Seminar and Look at God CPT live Show. ¹
Advice to young people
Busi advises that any one who wants to join this industry should empower themselves relevantly.
“I would advice someone wanting to pursue this path to have an acting coach and read up as much as possible on your craft,” said Busi Kondleka.
She aspires to work on international films and television. And she also aspires to work with Tyler Perry and her inspiration is Thuso Mbedu. Even though she sees herself in international production one day, she still believes the is plenty of room for growth here in South Africa.
