Gunners’ CAF Champions League qualifying campaign was greatly boosted by Katsande. At Rufaro Stadium in the Champions League second round, the Gunners overcame Al-Ahly, one of the biggest teams in Africa, 1-0 because to his relentless play. Ajax Cape Town
At Atlantic Stadium in Witbank, on December 12, 2010, Willard Katsande made his professional debut for Ajax Cape Town with a 2-0 victory over the Mpumalanga Black Aces. His earlier performance with the Gunners in the CAF Champions League preliminaries left a lasting impact on the club, and in the summer of 2010, he transferred from the Zimbabwean team Gunners F.C. to Ajax Cape Town. Willard Katsande joined the Kaizer Chiefs on August 15, 2011, as Chiefs manager Bobby Motaung announced after Katsande’s performance at an international friendly between Zimbabwe and Zambia. On September 10, 2011, Katsande made his debut against Orlando Pirates in the MTN 8 final, coming on as a substitute for Tshabalala in the 81st minute.
During his first 12 league appearances with the Chiefs, Katsande was given five yellow cards. In addition to winning the Premier Soccer League and the Nedbank Cup in 2013, Katsande was the most-booked player in 2013 with ten yellow cards (including one red card). Despite straying slightly outside the center line, Katsande scored a long-range goal in a 4-1 victory over Bloemfontein Celtic on July 21, 2013.
On March 21, 2015, he scored his second goal for Chiefs in an official match against Black Leopards in the Nedbank Cup. This was precisely 371 days after he scored his first goal.In 2014–15, he captured both his second league title and the MTN8.
