Khutso Steven Kgatle (born 4 November 1981), better known by his stage name King Monada, is a South African singer, songwriter, and producer. He rose to prominence after the release of his 2016 single “Ska Bhora Moreki” and 2018’s “Malwedhe,” which reached number 9 on the iTunes Chart and number 54 on the Apple Music Chart. He is famous for his singing in Khelobedu, a Northern Sotho dialect.

Early life

Khutso Steven n Kgatle was born n on November 25, 1992, in Tzaneen, Limpopo Province. Monada has two brothers and two other sisters. The king of bolobedu music grew up with five siblings. Elvis Kgatla is his father, and Thandi Matlala is his mother. He is the middle child with two siblings, Michael and Lucky, who are older. [2]

He attended school at Sebone Primary School and Magoza High School where he dropped out in Grade 8 to pursue his career in music. On 9 November mber 2018, Malwedhe was released and voted number mber 2 on Ukhozi FM Song Of The Year.

King Monada is married to Lerato Ramawela and engaged to Cynthia Ntebatse Leon. He has three children: Kgothatso Junior (son), Temoso (daughter), and Nthabiseng (daughter). He lives in a mansion in Mokgolobotho, where he has a recording studio and a car collection. [2]

He began his musical career in 2005, when he joined the local music group Makhalabje. He later left the group and established his own record label, King Monada Music, in 2010. The musician rose to prominence with his hits “Ska Bhora Moreki” (2016), “Benz” (2017), and “Malwedhe” (2018), which went viral on social media and became anthems for many South Africans.
