Early life of Lungelo Mpangase

Lungelo Mpangase was born on September 26, 1995. She was born and bred in Ezakheni somewhere in Ladysmith, Kwa-Zulu Natal Province in South Africa. Growing up she wanted to become a surgeon but later studied Law (LLB). “God truly knows our journeys as acting has become something that’s very close to my heart. I really love what I do, ” she said.

Lungelo studied Law (LLB) or Bachelor’s Degree in Law from 2013 and graduated in 2017. Then in 2017 she enrolled for a one year course to study for Aviation or Airways Management and operations at EPT Aviation training.

Lungelo made her acting debut experience rather than appearance when she acted in SABC1 drama Uselwa. The drama was never published or aired because of mismanaged finances, accusations that cast and crew never received their payments.

After that she landed a role on eHostela as Khethiwe, a Mzansi Magic drama. This was her first prominent appearance playing Khethiwe, a young woman who aspires to become a maskandi star, in the Mzansi Magic drama series eHostela. In 2019 she was casted as the starring of the show but died in the first season. [¹]

Then she appeared on Mzansi Original Movie called Themba Lam. The movie was about a young man who pays for his lover’s studies after landing a high-paying commercial, only for the tables to turn. This movie was made by graduates of M-Net’s Magic in Motion Academy And it first aired on Mzansi Magic on Saturday 15 June, 2019.

In 2020 she landed another starring role as Ntokozo on Mzali Wam. Which was a Mzansi Magic drama series about a girl who gets entangled in an elaborate human trafficking ring involving her biological mother.

Personal life of Lungelo Mpangase

Mpangase had a near-death experience in 2019 when she was engaged in a car accident, which left her with an injured spine and forced her to miss a few months of work, but she recovered. She also confirmed in one interview that she visited Durban for the first time when she was going there for eHostela auditions.

In May 2021, she was allegedly physically attacked by a fellow actress on a set of her new movie in Vosloorus, Gauteng. This because she was appointed to take clothes from that other actress’ wardrobe. So when she was found taking clothes from it she was attacked.
