Eugene Mthethwa was a student at Inhlakanipho High School. He then attended the University of the Witwatersrand to study Law and International Relations. Eugene Mthethwa has put in a lot of effort over the years. He worked as a director at Kalawa Jazmee Records for nine years (1996-2005).

He worked as a director at Kaasi Records from 2003 to 2009.  served as Acting Director – Stakeholder Relations and Deputy Director – Public Liaison and Presidential Hotline at the Presidency of the Republic of South Africa from 2009 to 2011. He was the Executive Director for Business Development at Mvunonala Holdings from 2011 to 2013.
