Fungisai 2was born on the 27nth of January 1981 in Harare, Zimbabwe. Fungisai got his start in music at a young age. She started a group named the Heaven Bound Family at Mutoko High School, the secondary institution she attended. The group broke up after school as everyone went out to live their individual lives. Shuvai Wutawunashe, according to Fungisai, served as an inspiration to her as a child.

Music Career of Fungisai Zvakavapano
Fungisai has stated that she has always desired to be a musician. In 2000, she gave Elias Musakwa’s gospel performance a boost when one of his backup singers had to cancel due to illness. After that performance, she handed Musakwa her demo, which contained a few songs. A few weeks later, she received a call to record Tinokutendai Ishe, her debut album.
Fungisai has performed joint performances with artists like Jah Prayzah, Killer T, Mudiwa Hood, and others so far. 
Reality Show by Fungisai
The first season of Fungisai’s reality series Keeping Up with the Church Person premiered in September 2020. The program concentrated on spontaneous happenings in the singer’s personal and professional life. For two months, the program was broadcast on Facebook every Sunday.
