Award-winning Zimbabwean singer-songwriter Dorcas Nezarah Moyo performs Christian religious music. She resides in Mutare. With the help of Progress Sibanda, Dorcas achieved recognition with the song “Haakotsire.”

Early life

Dorcas was born in Goromonzi on May 14, 1981. Her family consists of four daughters and two boys. She is wed to Frank Moyo, and the two of them have six kids altogether. A severe disciplinarian, according to Dorcas, her father “would not take any prisoners home for a slight misdemeanor.” [1]

According to Dorcas, she has always had a passion for music, and at the age of six, she began participating in praise and worship services at church. She declared her admiration for Tasha Cobbs, Sinach, Michael Mahendere, and Shingisai Suluma.

Education of Dorcas Moyo

Dorcas, who works as a dietitian, was in charge of a Mutare dialysis center’s cuisine in 2021. She was raised in Goromonzi and later attended Chinyika Secondary School after finishing Goromonzi Primary School. [2]

She began singing when she was six years old, making her the youngest member of her church’s praise and worship team at the time. Ndinokutungamirira, Ndokusheedzai Jesu, Zvininipise, Ndibatsirei Mwari, Pamarah Tapfuura, Bvisai Marara, Bvudzi Rangu Ramera, and Mhanza Haisekwe are the eight albums by Dorcas.

More than 14 singles, including Wakabuda Sei, Anomira Nesu, Munyaradzi, Zvamakatirongera, and Muri Mutsvene, are included among her discography.

Peter Madondo is in charge of Dorcas, and the Heavenly Melodies Family is supporting her. Olin Anderson of Kunashe Studios is in charge of producing her music. [3]
