The heinous accident occurred just hours after the club celebrated its 50th anniversary, though the circumstances surrounding the accident remain unknown. However, it is claimed that the defender was only with one other person.

The individual also died as a result of their injuries. According to William Ntladi, spokesman for Ekurhuleni Emergency Services, the deceased’s vehicle collided with a stationary object and caught fire.
