Arthur and Mpho Molepo are father and son in that respect. They’re both actors who have played several roles on local dramas and films. Arthur played the role of Busang, the black sheep of the family, in the SABC1 drama Generations, his son Mpho became famous for playing the role of fats in Rhythm City. Mpho grew up watching his father “Arthur” acting on stage so he was inspired and later joined acting when he was an adult. [1]

The late Sfiso Ncwane who was best known for gospel music and for his marriage to Ayanda Ncwane, has a son whose name is Mawenza Ncwane. Mawenza is a child actor best known for playing Jack Junior in a Mzansi magic drama Red Candle. He was also an Instagram influencer and had quite a number of followers but now his Instagram account has been deactivated.

Atandwa Kani is a famous actor who was inspired by his father John Kani. His father John is very famous, he is a writer and an actor who wrote and played in Nothing but The Truth, he also appeared in the film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Both John and Atandwa are very famous for different films but they both appeared in Bkack Panther and they are related as a father and son in real life.
Number 4 is Seputla and Thapelo Sebogodi
Thapelo is an actor famously known for playing the role of Khabzela in Mzansi Magic drama series The River. His father Seputla Sebogodi is very famous for playing a number of villainous roles in local dramas. He played the role of Kenneth Mashaba in Generations which made him famous in South Africa. [2]
Number 5 is Arthur and AJ Mafokate
Arthur Mafokate is a famous kwaito musician and record producer. His son whose name is Arthur Junior Lesego Mafokate is also famous for music and for being the son to the Kwaito legend. In July 2023, Arthur handed over his record label to his son AJ Mafokate claiming he is ready to take over.

Number 6 is Ringo and Phila Madlingozi

Lerato Makhetha is a famous actor who is best known for playing a recurring role as Ntando Sibeko on the SABC3 soapie Isidingo. His real life father, Jerry Mofokeng, joined him as his father on the drama and they both made headlines. Before that, Jerry Mofokeng had acted in several dramas and shows including in etv drama Scandal as Neo Mokhethi. Their father son relationship is a good example for a son whose father is famous.
On number is Banza and MO T Kgaosane
The late Banza Kgaosane who was the father of MO T Kgaosane, was a legendary musician and trumpet player. His son MO T is also famous for being a founding member of Micasa, a modern house music group. The father and son are famous and perfectly fit in this list. Like his father, MO plays the very instrument his father used to play, a trumpet, it’s clear he was inspired by his father. [3]

Maps Maponyane is a South African actor, presenter, fashion designer and businessman. He is famous for playing a lead role in “Tell Me Sweet Something”. His father is also famous because of his former career as a football player since the 1980s and the late 1990s when he played for different teams.
