The striker has been working out alone to stay in shape after his contract with AmaZulu was not renewed at the end of the season. The 36-year-old stated he is not even considering putting up his boots just yet since he still wants to play. [2]

It’s still in construction. We are aware that teams take time to sign players; they must first assess their present roster to determine the type of players they have and the slots they still need to fill, Majoro told Sowetan. “Hopefully one of the teams will call me to come help them with goals,” I said. Majoro stated that his current concentration was on playing football and that he would only think about that after retiring. Sandile Zungu, the chairman of AmaZulu, has opened his door for him to return to the club in any capacity.

It was never a disagreement between us and AmaZulu, but the contract came to an end, so like with every player, the team made the decision when the contract expired. In fact, I spoke with the president, who stated he wanted me to be a part of the technical team, Majoro recalled. But it’s a talk we still need to have with the chairman, so for the time being, I still want to play football and score 100 goals.

The veteran striker, who now has 91 goals, adding that he was also aiming for the milestone of 100 goals, and that was what was motivating him to keep playing. “Undoubtedly, it is my aim as a football player. You also have a goal that you want to achieve in addition to receiving awards; for me, that goal is reaching 100, so that’s what I’m aiming for right now.

“I really want to reach 100 goals [or] more, especially with only nine goals remaining. This is what motivates me the most.” Scoring goals is incredibly difficult, but I think that when you, as an individual, commit to the goals you set for yourself, you can achieve that. [3]
