Zenzo Ngqobe is a 38-year-old South African actor born on the 8th of September 1983 in Mafikeng. He is best known for starring as Stone Khuse on etv soapie opera Rhythm City. Early life of Zenzo Ngqobe

He was born and raised in Mafikeng in North West Province in South Africa. He celebrates his birthday on the 8th of September. Zenzo grew up dreaming of becoming a pilot and saw himself one day flying an aeroplane. But that all changed when he joined the acting industry.

Education of Zenzo Ngqobe

Zenzo obtained his primary and secondary education in Mafikeng. He attended Kebalepile High School in Mahikeng in North West Province of South Africa. He probably got some formal training in arts to establish his acting career. According to other sources, Zenzo had an unpleasant high school which he refused to talk about in details.

His career was launched when he made a debut appearance playing Butcher in Gavin Hood’s 2005 Oscar-winning film Tsotsi. He got the role in Tsotsi after being discovered by its producers acting on the stage alongside Presley (Chweneyagae). In 2006 he appeared as a rebel in Blood Diamond which starred big stars such as Leanardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Connelly and Djimon Hounsou. [ ¹]

In 2007 he landed a role in etv’s musical drama series and soapie Rhythm City as Stone Khuse, the first born son of the Khuse family who was a homosexual. In April 2012 he was fired from Rhythm City, reportedly for being unreliable. Then in 2013 he took over the role of Cyril from Gideon Lovinga in the SABC2 sitcom Ga Re Dumele, replacing him after the first five episodes of Season 3 and for Season 4.

Zenzo dated a fellow actress Nokuthula Ledwaba who portrayed his sister Tsidi Khuse in Rhythm City. They got married in 2008 and the production crew was happy for them. But their union turned sour in 2012 and they divorced. Their separation took a tour on Zenzo as he wouldn’t show up for work at Rhythm City because of stress.

This led the production team to take a decision to fire him because he was unreliable. After that failed marriage, Zenzo got married again to someone else but he has kept his personal life private since then. [ ³]

According to tvsa, Zenzo would like Denzel Washington to depict him if a movie was to be made about him. One of the most expensive things he has ever bought for himself is the timberland boots. His favourite dish is mala le mogodu (cow intestines) and samp. His greatest passion is his work. [ ]
