She was born in South Africa as Tina Dlathu. She is the youngest sister of the Dlathu sisters Sindi Dlathu and Zanele Sangweni. Tina began her acting career in May 2022 when she landed a role in 1Magic and Mzansi Magic telenovela The River. In The River she plays the role of Khwezi Hlophe the youngest daughter of the Hlophe family. She joined the cast together with Imbewu: The Seed actress Brenda Mhlongo, former Isibaya actor Bheki Mkhwane, Unathi Mkhize, and Vuyo Biyela, who plays Khwezi’s brother. [ ¹]

Acting in The River means that Tina is working alongside her sister Sindi Dlathu who plays Lindiwe Dlaminu Dikana. So, when she was asked about how it felt to work with her sister, Tina explained that she was excited but on the other hand frightened or intimidated by her villainous character.
