Thulani Hlatshwayo was born on the 18nth of December 1989. He was born in  Soweto,  Johannesburg, Gauteng province in South Africa.  He started  playing soccer at a  young age. Nothing much is known about Thulani’s background and his parents or relatives.

Gauteng’s Soweto is where Hlatshwayo was born. On August 5, 2009, he made his professional debut for Ajax in a 2–1 victory over Orlando Pirates during the 2009 MTN 8 competition quarterfinal at Johannesburg’s Coca-Cola Park. After making significant contributions to the club’s and the nation’s youth teams for several years, he was promoted from the club’s youth academy tiers.

Early in 2014, it was revealed that “Tyson,” as he is more popularly known, has agreed to a pre-contract with Bidvest Wits. Hlatshwayo put a stop to rumours that he was going to the Orlando Pirates by doing this. In June, he became a member of the Johannesburg club. Together with Thato Mokeke, another former Ajax CT player, he has subsequently become a formidable presence. In Bidvest’s first league matchup with SuperSport United, he started. [2]

Hlatswayo has represented the national under-17 and under-20 squads of South Africa on the pitch. In addition, he competed for the South African U-20 squad at the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup, which finished in the Round of 16 and lost to the eventual champions, Ghana, 2–1.
