Minenhle Dlamini, often known as Minnie Dlamini, is a South African on-air personality, actress, and model. She was born on July 7, 1990. She was chosen in 2010 to serve as the new host of the SABC 1 Friday live-music programme Live Amp.

Early life and education

Minnie Dlamini was born on the 7nth of July 1990. In the South African province of KwaZulu-Natal, in the city of Durban, she was born to Jabulani and Queen Dlamini. Prior to attending the University of Cape Town, she completed her early education at Northlands Girls’ High School. There, she majored in film, media, theatre, and economics. [1]

Career of Minnie Dlamini

Dlamini, a student at the University of Cape Town, began her career as a presenter for LIVE on June 16, 2010, after making her screen debut while covering the “World Cup celebrations” and “Youth Day” events. Later, she co-hosted Mzansi Insider, a lifestyle programme on SABC 1. She left the programme in 2012 in order to focus on an acting career. With Thomas Mlambo, Minnie transitioned to sports broadcasting in 2013 and co-hosted Soccerzone until SABC 1 changed the show’s structure in 2016. Since then, she has co-hosted a number of national and international award shows, including the PSL Awards, the South African Film and Television Awards, the 14th Metro FM Music Awards, and the 2016 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards.

In the SABC 1 TV soap Generations, where she made a cameo appearance as Miranda, Dlamini made her acting debut. She later appeared in Rockville and The Wild as Nosipho Bogatsu, both of which were lead roles. With her own clothing line, the Minnie-Series, Dlamini was named the new face of South African department store LEGit in September 2011.
