Master KG gave his gratitude after Jerusalema reached 300M views

The composer and singer of Jerusalema hit song has went to social media to thank the world for viewing and watching his hit song Jerusalema. In the post on his alternative twitter page created specifically for Jerusalema song, Master KG thanked the world for viewing his song. He shares the post with a screenshot image of the JERUSALEMA YouTube Video showing its number of views so far.

“Jerusalema is Now 300 Million Views Thank You For Watching. (following SA flag and LOVE Imogies )” he said on the twitter page called Jerusalema Deluxe Out Now.

Master KG has been recognized worldwide; it has won awards on every corner of the world putting South Africa on the map. Jerusalem was first released in August 2019 and was later included in Master KG’s 2020 Album in January 2020. The song gained popularity in 2020 after the Jerusalema Dance-Challenge.

A remix featuring Nigerian singer Burna Boy was released on 19 June 2020, propelling the song onto the US Billboard charts. It has since reached number one in Belgium, Netherlands, Romania and Switzerland, while peaking in the top ten of multiple other European countries. A second remix featuring Venezuelan singer Micro TDH and Colombian singer Greeicy was released on 17 September 2020.

So far, Jerusalema Song has won many awards internationally and locally. In November, 2020 — Master KG won the “Best African Act” Award by the 2020 MTV Europe Music Awards for his hit song Jerusalema. On Sunday of November 15, 2020, he won more awards. He was the biggest winner at the Africa Music Awards (Afrimma). He won ‘Artist Of The Year‘, ‘Song of the Year’, ‘Best Collaboration’, and ‘Best Southern Africa Artist’ awards.

On December 5, 2020, the Limpopo-born artist won an award for the best international song at the NRJ Music Awards, which honours the best in the French and worldwide music industry.

Master KG was not recognized internationally only but he was also honored in his home country South Africa. His colleague, Nomcebo, who was featured on Jerusalema was recognized in KZN Province as the best female artist.

With all this Master KG is very grateful for the support he has received both in South Africa and internationally.
