Her passion for cycling and running brought her and nine other South Africans together in 2010 to swim, ride, and run over 2000 kilometers in an effort to raise money for the impoverished kids of Pennyville, Soweto.
This campaign sought to raise money for the construction of a sports complex and a second childcare center in Pennyville. TV celebrity Liezel Van der Westhizen, former Springbok rugby player Werner Swanepoel, soap opera star Henre Pretorius, and rally driver Gugu Zulu were among the team members.
