In the past, Kamo had made appearances in presenting roles on television, including in the Soweto TV music programme Street Radio, the SABC2 edutainment programme WiredUp, and the SABC1 science programme T.O.M.z. (Teenagers on a Mission). She made her professional acting debut in 2014 when she made an appearance in a Single Galz episode on SABC1. Later that year, on September 29, 2014, she appeared in the season finale of the e.tv anthology drama series eKasi: Our Stories, “Last Born” (Season 5, Episode 52).

She started portraying Mapule in the Mzansi Magic drama Greed & Desire in April 2016, which lasted till March 2017. In the first episode of Season 3 of the SABC1 legal drama series Sokhulu & Partners (which aired on June 5, 2016), Kamo also had a guest starring role as Rutendo Mfwaze. [2]
