Where and when was Thapelo Sebogodi born?

Thapelo Sebogodi was born in 1988 in Johannesburg, Gauteng Province in South Africa. He is the eldest son of the veteran actor Seputla Sebogodi. His siblings are; Kgothatso, Sebogodi his little brother and only girl Thabang. Thapelo was raised in Johannesburg but later moved to Cape Town to pursue a career in acting. He returned to Johannesburg after accomplish his Cape Town mission.

Thapelo suffered as a child with his father’s fame, especially after Seputla rose to recognition thanks to his main role in the popular comedy show Suburban Bliss. He spent most of his childhood watching his father in theatre and he never thought or dream of becoming an actor by that time.

After finish his studies at TUT, Thapelo started to audition for television roles. During these auditions he never used his father’s reputation to land roles. In 2012 Thapelo made his television debut on SABC1’s reality series Life’s a Stage. After that he appeared on several dramas and television serials before working with his father. [2]

The two worked together and shared the stage in Flak My Son, which played at the State Theatre in Pretoria. He featured on SABC1 reality series Life’s a Stage, which documents the cast of the play Trapped as they go to the Grahamstown and Saltzburg theatre festivals.
