On August 24, 1975, Simosibucayi Buthelezi was born in the community of KwaMashu, 12 km north of Durban. Born and raised in South Africa. Nothing much is known about his background and how he was raised. Because Buthelezi’s name, Simosibucayi, means “a bad situation,” he was frequently made fun of.
