Shalate appeared in a cameo role on The River season 3 as Millicent. In 2021 she landed a supporting lead as Shoki in the new hit television series, House of Zwide on Etv, where she is playing alongside Nefisa Mkhabela (playing Onalerona Molapo). ¹

On 28 November 2021 Shalate announced to her fans via Instagram that she will be releasing her first single on the Friday of that week. On 3 December 2021 she announced thar her single called Trust produced by Feziel KK was out.
