Early life of Mondli Dlamini
Mondli Dlamini was born on 15 July 1987 in a small town of Hillcrest in Durban, KwaZulu Natal Province in South Africa. He was raised in different places which include his birthplace, Hillcrest, Pinetown and Hammeradale.
In 2014 he moved to Durban in pursuit of his dream career of becoming an actor and a model.
Acting and modelling career of Mondli Dlamini
Mondli started his modelling career in 2013, a year before he moved to Johannesburg. In 2014 he relocated to Johannesburg to pursue his acting career. After reaching Joburg, he got a Job at Quizzical Company to work as an assistant casting director at et.v’s former daily soapie Rhythm City. At the sametime he was studying to become an actor and a presenter at one of the accredited acting academy. [ ¹]
After finishing his studies which he did concurrently working at Rhythm City, he bagged a debut role of playing Abe in Generations: the legacy. His character was involved in a fight with Tau Mogale, which resulted in him being beaten up to the point of having to walk around in grips. He focused on his modelling jobs after leaving the show, while waiting for the next major television role. [ ²]

Then on the 25th of November, 2021, he made his debut appearance as LJ in House of Zwide, an e.tv drama series which replaced Rhythm City in July 2021.
