Early life of Mukudzei Chitsama aka Holy Ten
Holy Ten was born as Mukudzei Chitsama on 18 November 1998 in Harare, Zimbabwe. He grew up in Harare where he developed interest in music at an early age. When he was 18 years old while in high school, he began to record some of his music with accredited record labels.
How did Mukudzei Chitsama aka Holy Ten joined Hip Hop
Before joining the music industry, Mukudzei had interest in Hip Hop music but had no idea how he is going to initiate his dream of becoming a star. There was a fellow student (nicknamed JT) at the high school college, Speciss College where he attended, who was already into music.
So, Mukudzei lied to JT that he was good at making beats as a tactic to join his crew. When it was time for Mukudzei to prove his point on Fruit loop, he couldn’t, so JT, as a sympathetic guy taught Holy Ten all he knew about Fruit Loop and making beats and Holy Ten was born into the music industry.

Holy Ten’s career began in 2016 when he was just 18 yeas old whilst in high school. After that he released songs such as Hoo Zvangu, Ko Makuitasei, Violence and many others. His fame was boasted by collaborating with other well established artists such as Takura, ProBeatz and many other like Anita Jaxson.

In December 2020 Holy Ten got seven nominations at The Pogues Zim Hip Hop Awards 10th edition which were held at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC), Rainbow Towers. He bagged three awards out seven categories he was nominated in for his song Ndaremerwa. [ ²]

Mukudzei believes artists must be relevant otherwise they’re not going to make it in the music industry.
“Here in Zimbabwe, the people will see through your art, the people will not hesitate to cry foul. When artistes fail to cling onto their natural identity, first as a human being, secondly as a family figure and as a Zimbabwean, their relevance shakes.” said Holy Ten.
He also believes that Artists should not use immoral behaviours to trend as a way of boosting their fame, or use good morals and humility then changes once they are famous.
