Leonardo Castro was born on the 12th May 1989 in Colombia, South America. Castro played for Caterpillar motor and Millonarios in his early youth years. Then in his senior career he played for the likes of Mamelodi Sundowns, Le Equiad, Águilas Doradas and then finally Kaizer Chiefs in 2018.

Early this year when Khama Billiat had an injury. Castro was considered the missing link and perhaps hope of Kaizer Chiefs’ salvation. And so it was, his statistics don’t lie. The 32 year old however was injured somewhere in August of 2021 and was to stay away from the pitch for about 16 weeks. However, even in his absence, Kaizer Chiefs was able to swindle a few matches.
