Knowledge Musona (born June 21, 1990) is a Zimbabwean professional footballer who currently plays for Al-Tai in the Saudi Professional League and for the Zimbabwe national team. He has previously represented South Africa, Belgium, and Germany at senior level.

Knowledge Musona hails from Norton

Mashonaland West and attended Lord Malvern High School in Harare. His younger brother Walter Musona is also a professional footballer.

Brief club information

Musona made his Hoffenheim debut as a substitute in a 3–1 win against SC Freiburg, and scored his first goal in a 2–1 DFB-Pokal win over Köln on October 25, 2011. On May 18, 2012, it was confirmed that he would join Augsburg for the next season on a one-year loan.

In July 2013, he left Germany for a loan spell with Kaizer Chiefs in South Africa. He scored eight goals in 19 league games, including a game-winning goal that advanced his team to the Nedbank Cup quarterfinals. Musona scored a hat trick in a 3–0 CAF Champions League first-round, second-leg victory over Liga Muculmana in Maputo on March 6, advancing to the next round of the competition with a 7–0 aggregate score.

Contracts

  • Musona signed four year contract with RSC Anderlecht in May 2018.
  • This came after Standard Liège, Belgian club, expressed interest. On the first day of the season, he made his league debut for the club, replacing Landry Dimata in the 86th minute of Anderlecht’s 4–1 away victory over K.V. Kortrijk.
  • In a 2-1 away defeat to Club Brugge on August 26, 2018, he scored his first competitive goal for the club. In the 19th minute, he scored goal with Ivan Santini’s help to tie the game at one.
