Karabo Ricks was born in Johannesburg, Gauteng, on September 3, 1989. About the childhood experience, little is known. Karabo, however, completed his matriculation in 2006 at Thutolore Secondary School. She completed coursework in South Sotho, English, Math, Physical Sciences, Accounting, and Life Sciences. She attended NEMISA in 2008 to study television production. She will begin her Dramatic Arts degree at Wits University in January 2021. [1]

Sehlome Masekela and Karabo have been engaged since December 31, 2016. Karabo Instagram claims that she has a daughter named Akiah. She has a brother named Masego Maselwane as well. Karabo has three cousins: Ofentse Mmusi, Gift, and Maps Mamakgothalo Dire. Maera Mmusi is the name of her father. [2]
