Kagiso Rathebe, born October 26, 1992, is a South African actor, singer, songwriter, Guitarist and writer. He is best known for his roles in shows like Keeping Score, Generations, Igazi, Spoorloos, and the BBC drama, Noughts and Crosses.[1]
He is currently playing Amo on Scandal. Kagiso did a bit of modeling and played in multiple plays and Netflix films before his appearance on Scandal.
The Netflix star isn’t just talented but he received a formal training in performance. Kagiso Rathebe attended Market Theatre Laboratory for a 2 year course and he acquired Diploma degree in Live Performance.[2]
Kagiso Rathebe career
Kgagiso started in Theatre production, in 2013 he played in Theatre drama called Milk and Honey. After graduating from Market Theatre Laboratory in 2013, Kagiso starred in international series, and appeared on television commercials on his route to stardom.
In 2019, he had a supporting role on an International series: Noughts and Crosses. This was his first international role on ITV’s “Noughts and Crosses” alongside Bonnie Mbuli, where he played her toyboy.[3]
Between the year 2016 and 2017, Kagiso had a supporting role, playing Anda on Igazi 1 and 2. He also played Tongai, a supporting role on Keeping Score and had another supporting role of Illam on Generations The Legacy.

In 2018, he had a leading role on a film called Opus, and supporting role as Sibusiso on Spoorloos, kykNET drama with the show’s producer, Ilse van Hemert. In 2017 the Netflix star had two supporting roles; he played Xolani on Single Galz and Noah on Grit.
And in June 2019, Rathebe Kagiso received a call from his agent about a new role on Scandal. It was the role of a freelance photographer called Amo, by that time he was still acting as Sibusiso on Spoorloos. So, that year he joined the etv drama Scandal where he plays Amo.

The now Scandal etv star had roles on Mzansi television commercials too. In 2012 he appeared on Coca Cola print ad. And in 2018, Kagiso was a lead presenter of the 2018 Avbob television advert then in 2019 he had a leading role in a Wimpy advert.
