He graduated from VMC Academy with a NQL LEVEL 4 in media and television production. Meyiwa was born and raised in the KZN and began with his acting at the Primary School Level, where he realized that he can really act. He then started to join community theatre groups where he mostly performed as an Actor and dancer.

While most people get confused about their future a lot. Khumbuza wasn’t one of those. According to Khumbuza, he realized his passion for acting in 5th grade and never looked back. In fact when he was in high school, he went on to choose relevant subjects that aligned with his childhood dream. He even joined “Go theatre” to refine his acting skills. Meyiwa indulged a lot in local theatre plays, play house, school defense and many more as a child. This passion for acting was always within him and when the opportunity came. He did not hesitate to take the chance.
Some may realize that he was a camera operator at SUTV, but according to Khumbuza, that was a destiny tactic. He only took the gig to get closer to the acting world to get connections and eventually get on screen. It wasn’t at all because he had a passion for being a camera operator. However, he ended up enjoying the space and found himself doing camera work and editing for up to a year and a half.

He performed at the Durban Stable Theatre, the Durban Playhouse, and KwaMashu KCap. He also participated in workshops and gave performances at festivals like the Insika Festival and the Edgewood UKZN College Festival, as well as at school and community events where he sang songs like impi Yombango, Taxi Driver, Izono Zabazali, Rotten Fruit, and others. In the latter half of 2021, he played a police officer in The Republic S2 and a tenderpreneur on the 1Magic telenovela Lingashoni. [ 1]

While Meyiwa has been behind the scenes for quite a long time perfoming in theatres and more. He finally got his role on the Queen, a Fergusons Film original production. This was his first break out role to date. And, he got the role through an online audition he made by sending a video snippet of his perfomance.
The Queen’s production team were heavily impressed by the actor’s profile and decided to cast him as Brutus Khoza’s first son, Bhambatha Khoza. His management, Mehlareng Management is said to be trying to get him a role in a movie. Some, sources also claim they are also trying to get him into the modelling world because of his looks and height. Hopefully, we will see him in a movie soon.
