Greteli Fincham was born on the 9th of March 2001 in Cape Town, Western Cape Province in South Africa. She is a daughter to the well known architect, Newton Fincham who is her father. Growing up Greteli was very shy to such an extent that she never thought she would grow up to become an actor.

After completing her high school Greteli Fincham did acting workshops with Ian van der Westhuizen and Lise-Marié Richardson; and accent training with Stephen Jennings.
