Early life of Trevor Dongo
Dongo is the firstborn of a family of six. He is the lone male in a family of six children. He was reared in Harare’s Highfield suburb.

Dongo attended Kwayedza High School to complete his secondary education after starting at Rusvingo Elementary School.
Music Career of Trevor Dongo
Dongo started writing music throughout his time in school. At the time, he was doing it as a hobby and had no idea that it would eventually become his full-time profession. As his interest increased, he ultimately began making demos. Although still a college student, he decided to pursue a singing career, but he did both at once since he had certain hesitations. [1]
After completing his formal art school, Dongo published his debut album, “Ndozviita Sei”. He hasn’t gone back since the album was a commercial hit. Then, in 2010, he published “Ruvarashe,” his second song. “Musikana wangu” and “Ndashamisika,” two well-known songs from his album “First Verse,” were made public.
In 2007, he teamed up with Nox and Tawanda Mugodi to form the group AfroUnik, who released the album Uniqueness and contained the gospel song Musipo, which saw a lot of radio play.
In 2015, Trevor Dongo performed with Nigerian musician Davido at the Belgravia Sports Club, and in 2016, he shared the stage with Diamond Platnumz at the HICC. During Jah Cure’s appearance at the HICC the same year, Dongo performed.

Personal life of Trevor Dongo
Dongo proposed to Ashley Mawumbe in April 2014. The couple celebrated their engagement in style thanks to Trevor’s performance at the ZimCafe Restaurant. The evening was spiced up by appearances by other artistes Ngoni Kambarami and Muduwahood.
