Thandeka Shangase is a 29 year old South African Actress born in 1992. She was born and raised in uMlazi township, KwaZulu-Natal Province in South Africa. Thandeka is multilingual speaker who can speak English, IsiZulu and IsiXhosa. She enrolled for acting at Creative Arts College from 2011 to 2012. After that she studied drama and Production at the Durban University of Technology and completed her studies in 2016.

Thandeka Shangase appeared on several radio dramas and educational theater productions. Her theatre production work includes House of Hunger, A Clockwork Orange, So What’s New?, Gangsters, Still No Hour Of Liberation and Serafina just to name a few. She was casted on Television drama series called Next of Next Week directed by Karabo Lediga. In 2015 she had a lead role on a short film called A Gang by NB production. And in 2019 she partook on her first commercial work for Absa Life insurance advert. ¹

In 2021 she was casted for a small role on Generations: the Legacy. She started shooting in August and made her debut appearance in September 2021. “I was filled with excitement when my agent shared the news with me at the beginning of August. I was more excited when I started shooting on 10 August. To me, this is a fantastic opportunity. Despite being told that it is a small role, for me, there is no small role as every opportunity counts,” said Thandeka.
