Nathaniel Ramabulana, born on 16 March 1984 (age – 37), is a South African actor, writer and director best known for playing Tendamudzimu on Muvhango and for playing Blessing on SABC2 sitcom Askis in 2009. Nat has appeared on other television shows such as Rhythm City, The Wild, Soul Buddzy, The Docket, Jozi-H and films such Blood Diamond and The Good.

Nathaniel Ramabulana (referred to as Nat Ramabulana) was born on 16 March 1984 in Soweto township, Johannesburg, Gauteng Province in South Africa to parents who were domestic workers. His father was a Gardener and his mother a kitchen domestic worker. Nat believes that if it wasn’t of his parents’ domestic jobs in Johannesburg he wouldn’t have been exposed to acting industry. His parents moved from one place to another around Johannesburg thus Nat jokes that he has lived everywhere in Jozi.

Nathaniel attended Greenside High School where he was enrolled by his father’s boss Mrs Hill. It is in private schools that he realized that he was born to act and could further his studies in the art industry. So, he enrolled at the University of the Witwatersrand Drama School where he graduated with Honours in Dramatic Arts in 2008.²

After graduating from University, Nat landed a lead role on Justice For All and later appeared on other television shows such as The Mating Game, Justice For All, Isidingo and Jozi H just to name a few. In 2013 he played on a theatre production film called The Island as Winston, the play was originally written by Athol Fugard, Kani and Winston Ntshona and directed by Kani. He has appeared on international films such as Blood Diamond in 2006, The Good, television shows such as Rhythm City, The Wild, Soul Buddzy and did a lot of televisional commercials.¹

Nat Ramabulana is married to Odwa and they have a child together. The star has a great deal of respect and admiration for his mother who was taking care of elderly people by the year 2013.
