Nadia Valvekens was born on 05 March 1982 in Pretoria, Gauteng Province in South Africa. She was born to her mother Cecile who raised her in Centurion together with her younger sister Natasha. Nadia has been involved in drama from primary school and was certain about pursuing drama as a career after matric.

Nadia attended Park Laerskool (school) and later completed her matric at Eldoraigne Hoerskool (high school). She then did her BA in drama at Technikon Pretoria (now Tshwane University of Technology) and graduated in 2003. ¹

Acting career of Nadia Valvekens
Her acting career sprouted up back at school when she got involved in drama for about 12 years until her matric. She also took part in several stage productions during her three year course (Diploma) at Technikon (TUT) such as Clive Morris’s Maid in the New South Africa. In 2003 Nadia landed a role of a presenter on SABC2’s Die Nutsman. She appeared in several productions for cameo roles in South Africa until 2004. The actress also appeared on Egoli as a secretary. she landed a role on 7de Laan as Nicole Kannemeyer, she left the soapie in 2005. After that she starred as Pipa Venter on Binnelanders, a KykNet soapie.
After leaving 7de Laan in February 2005 she joined Scandal! etv and appeared on Song vir Katryn on M-Net and Villa Rosa on kykNET. In 2002 she appeared in short films Daddy and The Road. In September 2007 she reprised her Binnelanders soapie character Pippa Venter in a Theatre production called Binnelanders Buiteweste at the Aardklop Kunstefees in Potchefstroom based in Binnelanders.
