After finishing her matric at one of the accredited schools in South Africa, she enrolled at TUT to study Performing Arts whereby she did her practicals at Breytenbach Theatre in Pretoria. She graduated in May 2021 as a qualified Performing Artist.

After and during Komie’s studies at University she appeared in several theatre plays playing supporting roles in most of them. This includes Too sweet too bad, Fright Alah and The Infidel.
