Acting career of Glen Gabela
Glen Gabela started his career in 1985 when he made his debut appearance on SABC 1 television series called Mhla Laduma: When The Lightning Strikes. In 1986 he played as a 15-19 year old Shaka award-winning television mini-series Shaka. He appeared on several featured film such as Okavango (1989), Warriors from Hell (1990), The Ghost and the Darkness (1996), Soldiers of the Rock (2003) and Red Dust (2004). In 1994 he appeared on a made for tv movie called Guns of Honour. In 2006 he landed roles in two films, Score and the Heartlines film The Good Fight. He also appeared in theater productions such as Somdaka.

The star also appeared on Doubt season 1 as Judge Jacob Mweli. His other roles include portraying Motseki on Yizo Yizo season 3 and the famous character Pastor Melusi Mdletse on Uzalo from season 3 to season 6. He also appeared on Soul Buddyz season 1 as Mr Chabalala. Glen played a pivotal role in the behind the scene of the drama series Tjovitjo during the auditions to chose pantsula dancers.
Glen plays the role of Pastor Solomon, a council ward member who has to vote on whether the public pool will be rezoned to create the Hopeville Trust Discount Drive-Thru Liquor Mart, in the SABC2 mini-series Hopeville, from March to April, 2009.
