Early life
Andisiwe Dweba is a South African actress born in the Eastern Cape. She grew up in Port Elizabeth and was always into acting. After completing her matric she went to study at AFDA for a degree in Live performance.
Acting career beginnings
Dweba’s first television appearances was on SABC 1’s Drama’edy series ‘Khululeka Siyavota’. Afterward, she went to appear in numerous TV commercials before getting her break in Generations. However, things weren’t so straightforward, she had initially auditioned for the role of Priska.
However, after not getting the role she was later called for the role of Getty. And, that’s the role she is famously known for. Andisiwe moved to Joburg because of the role and is presumably still primarily based on Joburg.

Controversies:
Andisiwe was alleged to have a calling
On a random day, Andisiwe Dweba shared some pictures of herself in some traditional attire. The act of which resulted in many speculative conclusions from her fans. So, in her comment section was a crowd of traditional acclaims. Saying things such as “congratulations on your journey”. However, later on Andisiwe was to clarify with an independent media publisher TshisaLive. And, said that didn’t have a calling. And thus she spake:
“I was at work taking selfies in my dressing room. I don’t have a calling‚ I am not going to practise‚ and I’m not practising. It was just me in costume at work.”
This was to put the rumours to sleep. Andisiwe was in her work costume and hoped people could tell apart the two. However, people choose their own truth.

Struggling with Black tax
Black tax is a problem in which one’s family costs them money by expecting them to cater for their every need. Well, the Generations actor, Getty Deyale suffered from that aswell. Her family was costing her a lot. And, she had to learn to say no. However, her family didn’t seem to notice.
In fact she found herself in a financial crisis as a result of that. Furthermore, how learning to say no saved her and helped her manage her finances much better. And, even though it took time, it finally paid of in the end.
