Thulani Shange, born on 27 October 1993 (age – 27), is a South African actor best known for playing Thulani on Uzalo SABC 1 and for playing Dr Mandla Ngcobo on Durban Gen on etv. He has appeared on iNumber Number and Ikani, in 2020 Thulani was fired on Uzalo for demanding a salary increase.

Early life of Thulani Shange
Thulani Nkululeko Shange was born on 27 October 1993 in Pretoria in Gauteng Province, South Africa. During childhood Thulani’s family moved from one place to another, for this reason Thulani cannot pinpoint a specific place where he grew up. The star grew up in Limpopo, Mpumalanga, KwaZulu-Natal then he moved back to Pretoria with his mother. His parents were not married, a reason he believes is behind him tossed to and fro.
When his family had finally settled down another struggle began as he had no funds to go to school. Thulani admits he has never spoken to his father for a long time because he was not really around in his childhood. He has never heard his mother appraising him but he knows she is proud.¹

After finishing high school, Thulani Shange struggled to get funds to further his education. But luckily his family managed to join hands to pay for his first year at State Theatre for him to study Drama. He had to hustle in order to finish his studies. ²
Career of Shange
Thulani’s television roles which brought him to fame include one on Mzansi Magic drama iSthunzi. In 2017 he landed the role of Israel Matseke’s on screen son Tony on iNumber Number. Then 2018 he played on Ikani, he later got a role of Thulani on Uzalo where he played alongside Godfather by Sizwe Khumbuza but was fired in 2020 for demanding a salary increase. In 2021 Shange joined Durban Gen as Dr Mandla Ngcobo where he plays alongside Fanele Ntuli and Nelisiwa Sibiya.
