Cindy’s actor, Phophi Mudau Ratlabala, is a sangoma in real life. Before Ratlabala finally explained why we hadn’t seen her portray Cindy on Skeem Saam, she had been absent from the small screen for nearly a year. She explained that she had taken a break from television because she had been on a spiritual quest while practicing as a conventional therapist.
Phophi Mudau Ratlabala declared earlier this year that she had completed her training as a healer and that she was eager to share her experiences.
