Masilo Magoro is a South African actor best known for his role Charles Kunutu on Skeem Saam from season two to season ten. He also appeared on Tshisa as Morena Lerole, the father of Baksteen (Innocent Masuku).

Early age of Masilo Magoro
Masilo Magoro was born in Tzaneen, Limpopo Province in South Africa. He grew up in Lenyenye, Tzaneen with his two older brothers. His mother worked as a nurse for Dr Mamphela Ramphele. They then moved to Johannesburg and joined his father.
In the 1980s while still in high school, Masilo got involved with a political student body that also did cultural events. This is where he first tasted stage as a performer, playing a soldier of the old South African regime. He also got a standing ovation for playing Sgt Spikiri in a stage play at a school drama festival.
Education of Masilo Magoro
Masilo attended Thabo high school in Naledi, Soweto. Afterwars he studied drama at Fuba Academy for three years and later a one year part time course with Market Theatre Lab.
Acting career of Masilo Magoro
After building a strong acting foundation from school plays and higher education training, Masilo went further to become a story developer, crew member and performer for a movie called Gomora Hustle. In 2011 he appeared on the trailer for the musical film 16 Bars as a detective and played the role of Vusi in the Tim Greene film Skeem.
In 2012 he also acted as Morena Lerole, the father of Baksteen (Innocent Masuku), in the SABC1 drama series Tshisa. He played a lead role on season two of Skeem Saam as Charles Kunutu (Rachel’s uncle) in 2013 until season ten.
Personal life of Masilo
Masilo is married to Pat, the two have a daughter together. During leisure time he write his own scripts, reading and watching movies with his wife and daughter. His life highlight is that he has worked with great actors like Lydia Mokgokoloshi, Shoki Sebotsane, Africa Tsoai, Harriet Manamela and John Morapama in Skeem Saam.
His favorite music is South African gospel; he is co-founder of a gospel group in Lenyenye called Barorisi ba lentswe. He likes to watch stand up comedians such as Trevor Noah, Steve Harvey and David Kau. Masilo has also acted in comedy when he played Vusi in Skeem.
