Before going into television, Katlego was a stage performer. Even though she is best known for her performances in renowned television soap operas, she is well-known for her roles in several theatre shows. She made it to the cast of the popular E.tv show Backstage in 2002, and she made it to the cast of the soap opera Generations in 2006. After winning the Best Actress Award at the annual South African award event SAFTAs, her acting technique has received prominence. Katlego Danke acquired a recurring role in Isidingo in 2016, following her departure from the soapie, Generations.
