Olivia Khoshatefeh was born on September 13, 1991 in Mansfield town in Bristol County, Massachusetts in the United States of America. She grew up in Mansfield where she roamed the woods with friends and went on long bike rides. Olivia used to establish a makeshift stage in her basement and perform for family and friends when she was a little girl. She used to be a Spice Girl.

“Everyone who came over had to sit down and watch me,” said Khoshatefeh. “I even served popcorn.”

Perfoming for her family and friends in her childhood years was her first stage roles. When she was in her ninth grade she had to decide between ceramics or acting as a high school elective. So she chose acting after her mother, Phyllis, suggested her to choose acting as she had seen her love for acting.

As a result, she performed in high school performances as well as plays at the Mansfield Music & Arts Society, where her portrayal of Antigone in the tragedy “Antigone” sparked not just a love for acting, but a passion for it.

After high school, Olivia enrolled at University of Rhode Island (URI) where she graduated with a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts in Acting. Then she was offered a scholarship to do a three-year Master’s In Fine Arts program at the prestigious Brown University/Trinity Repertory Consortium. [ ²]

Theatre work for Olivia

Olivia sharpened her acting skills in theatre while studying at URI. She had memorable roles at URI university theatres such as playing Dorine in “Tartuffe,” a French farce. It was a challenging play for Olivia but was worthy of experience. Her most challenging role in theatre was the role of Ariel in “Pillowman” where she portrayed a role which was originally written for a male figure.

In 2012 she participated in the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship Competition at the American College Theatre Festival at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Then late she advanced to the final round of 16 in the competition.

Olivia Khoshatefeh made her acting debut in 2014 when she starred in The Wig People, a film about a mysterious Prophet who travels to Earth in order to create a new race of Wig People who will judge all mankind. The Prophet, played by John Rely, abducts four people representing greed, waste, hatred and apathy. In the film Olivia was representing Apathy among the four people abducted by the mysterious prophet.

In 2017 she landed her second role in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt of playing as Paige. The film was about a woman who is rescued from a doomsday cult and starts life over again in New York City.
