Education of Nolo
Nolo attended her high school at the National School of the Arts where she matriculated and majored in Fine Arts. In 2008 Nolo completed her Drama Arts degree and graduated with Honours degree at The School of the Arts at the University of the Witwatersrand.
Acting career
In 2006 Nolo Phiri earned her first television role on SABC 2’s biggest soapie drama Muvhango. She has also starred in the Bri*sh series Kingmakers in 2014 as well as a local short film produced by Grey Dreaming Communications in 2015.
Nolo was also cast as a starring on Rhythm City where she played Niki Bongco, a spontaneous, very street-wise girl who has a great sense of humour and is overtly flirtatious, in the e.tv soap opera Rhythm City. But Nolo had to leave Rhythm City after six years of her starring role to push her own production company.
In 2020 Nolo joined Isibaya to play Nombulelo. Her character was going to ruin or threaten the relationship between Linda and Sayitsheni’s characters.²

Aside from acting, Nolo Phiri is a producer and an executive producer at Redefine Multimedia, and has produced numerous documentaries as well as vibrant music videos for artists like Mandoza and Psyfo.
Nolo was also a brand ambassador for Rage Clothing along with Easy Waves’ “Best Friend Friday” competition for young girl matriculants in 2012.
In the same year, she began writing for TeenZone Magazine, a motivational feature in the popular school magazine. In 2014, she was invited as a judge within the Arts and Culture Trust Awards, a scholarship programme that aids aspiring matriculants to study within the performing arts. ³
